Job Requirements / Duties / Responsibilities

Requirements:

A relevant Bachelor’s degree/ 3 years National diploma. Honours degree will be an added advantage. At least 2 years relevant working experience in a Research Institution/University, preferably in a Research Office.

Duties:

To provide administrative support in the Research and Innovation Directorate for all Research Grants activities.

Developing and implementing code of good practice and procedures for use of funded research projects

The qualified candidate will work independently for the administration of grants: including allocation of funds, writing recommendations to release funds, monitoring and evaluation of project funds and any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Issuing grant letters for processing to finance.

He/She will also be responsible to prepare monthly reports of all research funded activities within the Directorate of Research and Innovation.

The qualified candidate will work under the supervision of the Director Research and Innovation receiving and disseminating relevant information related to Research and Innovation at the University of Venda.
