Accounting Manager

As the Accounting Manager – you will maintain financial integrity of North American profit loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely accurate reporting in compliance with established corporate and reporting deadlines. Support Global Controller with year-end audit, financial statement preparation, tax preparation and any other special projects as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct month-end closing procedures to include:
  • Manage the Accounting Team
  • Review inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Prepare BS and P&L account analysis
  • Preparing month end journal entries
  • Reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to GL
  • Review and create monthly accruals
  • Annual, quarterly and month-end close and review process
  • Responsible for Income Tax Reporting
  • Manage relationship with external auditors
  • Oversee all day to day accounting activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and supervisory review of accounting staff
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
  • Participate in all aspects of cash management including bank relationships, on-line processing or wires and ACH transactions, disbursements, and accounts receivable application.
  • Interpret, prepare, and design reports identifying opportunities to improve company profitability and support profit enhancing projects.
  • Participate in accurate and on-time completion of corporate annual budgeting process
  • Participate in accurate and on-time completion of corporate financial forecasting
  • Manage and direct North American cash collection efforts.
  • Complex financial analysis and modeling to drive corporate decision making.
  • Champion continuous improvement in North American accounting department.
  • Perform analysis as requested by Executive team or Controller
  • Support Executive team with additional adhoc requests

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a business related field required
  • 5+ years work experience with supervisory experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Extensive experience using complex databases, spreadsheets and presentation software tools for budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Customer focused (both internally and externally)
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills
