Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (Position Summary)

Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to client financial reporting, budgets, bank accounts, and Community Association Manager Support as needed. The CAS is an accounting support position in a fast paced centralized accounting services environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I ncludes the following:

Review and prepare homeowners association’s financial statements.

General Ledger experience.

Serve as accounting over site.

Prepare homeowners association’s budget.

Employee Training

Assist Board Members with accounting matters as needed.

Serve as a point of contact with the Accounting shared service center.

Implement process to support the accounting system at the shared service center.

Assist in external audits and reviews of financial statements.

Complete ad hoc accounting procedures as necessary.

Ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded according to required procedures and regulatory compliance

Develop and maintain accounting control and oversight of high touch clients

Ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively

Support tax department at client shared services center for clients

Support the Management Team with special projects and workflow process improvements as needed

Professional customer service skills.

Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)

Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration

2-5 years experience in accounting

Knowledge of fund accounting

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.

Experience working with homeowner’s association accounting software (C3 preferred).

Previous experience with homeowner association’s preferred.
