Accountant

Premium Waters, Inc. is a rapidly growing water delivery and water services company and we are currently looking for a highly motivated Accountant to be a critical member of our team. In t his position, you will work to ensure compliance with government agencies and completes research to maintain GAAP and will assist in leading all aspects of month-end and year-end financial close process and external reporting requirements. You’re day to day responsibilities may shift and grow but to start you will, Maintain government compliance, including setting up new tax ID numbers, filling out government surveys, and completing misc. tax returns. Ensure a process is in place for recording, verifying, and reporting the value of the company’s assets, liabilities, debts, and expenses. Perform month-end financial close processes in an accurate and timely manner, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations ensuring that they are in conformance with GAAP. Reviews financial reporting for accuracy, identifies problems, and supports the accounting team to maintain a high level of accuracy. Assists in the adoption of new accounting standards including research and preparation of written accounting policies for the organization. Participate in audits with research, pulling together data, and answering general questions. Participate in inventory cycle counts from an accounting standpoint. Maintain a cohesive working relationship with all other personnel to successfully accomplish Premium Water Inc. goal Your experience and skills include:

5+ years in accounting preferrably working in a manufacturing environment Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience Strong Technical Knowledge of GAAP; this is a must Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work longer hours and a couple weekends a year in order to meet deadlines as needed Comes to work with professionalism and respect for others in the office Effective problem solving and decision making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement ERP knowledge required, preferably JD Edwards Microsoft Office Proficiency
