Account Executive – Health

Microsoft is seeking a world class sales professional in the Southern California district to manage our customer relationships within enterprise accounts within our Healthcare team.
This Account Executive will be responsible for providing strategic business leadership and day-to-day IT program management. In this role, you will enable Microsoft’s worldwide field sales and services organization to achieve its goal of winning value-producing deployments, driving global customer satisfaction and growing revenue. Your success will in part be measured by the impact this customer’s IT Showcase has on Microsoft enterprise sales. You will build and manage key relationships, monitor deployment projects, engage resources and lead a diverse and talented virtual team. You will engage with Microsoft’s senior leadership team for Executive Sponsorship.

This Account Executive (AE) is responsible for teaming with the customer’s IT Organization to build strategic relationships within the account, articulating a clear vision, generating enthusiasm, and impacting multiple operating groups. The Account Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad product and services strategy. The AE will mobilize all appropriate Microsoft resources (Sales, Technical Specialists, Consulting, Support, Product Groups and Executives) to support customer interests that the SAE advocates on the customer’s behalf keeping Microsoft’s long term interests in focus. The AE will work with an Account Technology Strategist to develop an overall account plan with their customer. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources across the US.

The Account Executive is responsible for worldwide revenue growth and is expected to increase customer satisfaction across worldwide constituencies. In addition, the Senior Account Executive is expected to drive deployment of Microsoft’s infrastructure products across all worldwide divisions of the account and must ensure that line of business applications are developed on Microsoft’s platform thus creating compelling business reasons for the account to purchase future upgrades. Development of formal case studies and press releases highlighting Microsoft-based solution delivery is also required.

Qualifications Extensive experience engaging with senior executives (CIO/CTO/CFO/CPO/CEO/COO) within large enterprise customers (Services, MSN, etc.). Candidate should have excellent organization and collaboration skis and a passion for developing world class best practices, within the virtual team and in the district. Candidate must be a strategic thinker and have proven excellence in Strategic Account planning and delivery.

Microsoft Functional/Technical Competency requirements include: Account Planning and Management, Business Acumen, Coaching the Sale, Competition, Influencing Executives, Business Decision Makers, IT Pros and Developers and Microsoft Products.

Other important Microsoft Competencies requiring Level 4 capabilities include:

• Action Oriented, Communication Skills, Conviction and Courage, Customer Focus, Cross-Group Collaboration and Negotiation and Conflict Management

• A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)

• 10 years+ experience in corporate sales of software, or services in the Enterprise market segment or an equivalent.

Position will be based in Microsoft’s Irvine Office or Los Angeles office. There is no relocation package available for this opportunity.
