3D Designer

Museum of Ice Cream seeks full time 3D designer / Technical Designer to translate creative visions into digital imagery and viable concepts for fabrication.

Ideal candidate is passionate about good design, knowledgeable about production and enjoys working on unique projects and in flexible environments.

Roles / Responsibilities

• Technical Designer will work closely with Creative Production team and report directly to Creative Director.
• Responsible for drafting and ideating floor plans and exhibition flows then turning floor plans into photo realistic 3D environments.
• Designing and rendering individual items such as furniture or set pieces to send for fabrication.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture / Industrial Design / Graphic Design or other relevant field.
• 1 – 3 years experience as a designer spearheading multiple projects
• Full knowledge and access to rendering software (AutoCAD, Rhino or SketchUp Pro) and Adobe CS
• Fast turnaround and ability to work on tight timelines.
• Willingness (and eagerness!) to travel 75%+ Working knowledge of fabrication materials, processes and best practices essential.
