2017 Summer Internship – RF Engineering

Our internship program strives to grow our interns’ knowledge of the media industry and expand their networking opportunities.

SUMMER PROGRAM DETAILS

Starts: Monday, June 05 Ends: Friday, August 11

• Runs 10 weeks; maximum of 40 hours/per week

• Projects designed to build knowledge, skills, and experience in the Media Industry

• Exposure to various business leaders and company initiatives

• Additional training and development workshops to build transferable business skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
An RF Systems Intern will receive training and experience in wireless and RF technology as used in the radio / television broadcast, and wireless telecommunications industries. The RF Systems Intern will apply the fundamentals of wireless transmission, propagation, antenna modeling, and FCC regulatory requirements to assist in the operation and planning our over-the-air radio and television stations. Projects may include RF Systems Engineering data collection; Coverage and Contour Map Creation; FCC Records Searches

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Junior or Senior in a BS Engineering program ( accredited EE, EET, CE, CS) with successful completion of coursework in electromagnetic fields and circuit analysis, or wireless communications

• Course work or experience with one or more of the following programming, scripting or markup languages: Visual Basic for Applications, SQL, Java, C++, XML, KML, HTML, Matlab

• Must be self-sufficient and possess ability to work with team members offsite located in multiple markets

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor degree at an accredited institution

• Must be a rising Jr., rising Sr., or recent May 2017 graduate

• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S

• Must be willing to work from offices in Los Angeles, CA

• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Resourceful, Team Player, Inventory Management

• Prior work/internship experience in a corporate environment

• Proficiency with Word/Excel/ PowerPoint

• Demonstrate leadership and adaptability

• Demonstrate civic and community service
