Description

Northrop Grumman offers a challenging rotational Professional Development Program (PDP) for new/recent graduates in our Enterprise Services sector. The functional experience you’ll gain include but are not limited to the following: Software Development, Infrastructure Support, IT Asset Management, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Operations, and Cyber Security.

The PDP rotations offer the opportunity to experience several different job assignments before making a commitment to remain in a particular position. These opportunities involve full life cycle product development on a variety of architectures and platforms. A rotation through any of these programs is foundational for the next generation IT profession.

This is a pipeline staffing requisition to source qualified talent for 2016/2017 academic school year. PDP program participation is subject to business needs and location – direct entry level opportunities may also be available.

Enterprise Services rotations may include:

The
Infrastructure
rotation may involve experiences in the full life cycle work with numerous Cisco network equipment, SAN storage, enterprise backup capability, server & operating system administration, and data center operations in both the unclassified & classified areas. In addition, there are significant opportunities developing and supporting the enterprise SharePoint instance. Experiences will include working with our customers and analyzing real business problems involving numerous applications, cyber security, and other related infrastructure elements.

The
IT Asset Management
rotation provides experience in providing visibility, proactive management, and control of all Northrop Grumman’s IT assets, including hardware and software, ensuring compliance across the Enterprise. The roles will be key managing, tracking, and analyzing physical, contractual, and financial data associated with IT assets throughout the IT asset life cycle – from planning and procurement through disposal.

The
Software Engineering
rotation includes working with PDM/CAD, SAP and other COTS packages as well as internally developed applications. These opportunities will also include exposure to the cloud application model and responsive design techniques to support the move to cloud computing and mobile applications. Database management and GUI development are also key activities of this rotation. Software engineering technologies utilized include Microsoft SharePoint, HTML5, XML, CSS, and C#.net.

The
System Engineering
rotations may include taking customer’s requirements and translate them into hardware and/or software requirements, estimate the cost associated with the requirements and work with architects to design the entire solution.

The
Cyber Security
rotations involve experiences in full life cycle work within cyber engineering and cyber operations. Candidate will support our cyber mission by performing research and development, product/solution evaluations and design reviews, coding and scripting and procedure development for new cyber tools and automation, and network and systems monitoring, scanning and associated analysis. Duties will also include managing lab environments and small projects, idea/concept generation, participating in team architecture development and planning, and communicating and presenting to executives.

A rotation through
Enterprise Operations
provides experience with the information, tools, processes and services required to support Northrop Grumman’s computing infrastructure. Through deploying an IT Service Management framework (based on ITIL v3 fundamentals), Enterprise Operations enable IT Solutions to better manage and deliver services to Northrop Grumman employees.

The
Client Computing
rotation provides experience with client computing services including the desktop support program, mobility platforms, and next generation Operating Systems. This group is on the very front end of the IT service delivery for the company and provided critical services to everyone on the company.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates, regardless of age, must be pursuing or have obtained their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution within one (1) year in
    • Computer and Information Science/Systems
    • C
      omputer Networking Management
    • Computer Programming
    • Management Information Systems
    • Business Information Systems
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Some travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.25 GPA or higher
