Secure Storage Solutions Product Manager

The Microelectronics Secure Solutions business unit of Mercury Systems develops and manufactures secure, rugged, dense microelectronics products for the defense and national security markets. Key to our growth is our Secure Storage product line. We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the detailed business planning and execution for this product line. This position will have P&L ownership for the product line within a matrixed organization.

Duties and responsibilities

Draw support from corporate and business unit sales, marketing, engineering, operations, planning, purchasing and finance professionals to:

  • Aggressively grow the revenue and profit year over year for the Secure Storage product line
  • Generate bookings, revenue and profit (EBIDTA) forecasts
  • Identify and capture strategic customer design wins
  • Gain early insight into opportunities and market direction by building relationships with business and thought leaders at key customers
  • Represent MSS as the ambassador of the Secure Storage product line
  • Monitor industry, technology and competitive trends to position us to win in our chosen markets
  • Develop and execute product and technology roadmaps
  • Develop and execute product launch and marketing strategies
  • Solicit and respond to government and defense prime BAAs, RFIs, RFPs and RFQs
  • Where needed, ensure that FARS and DFARS regulations are followed
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end of life
  • Drive sales and marketing collateral generation

Basic qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business field
  • Determination to win and a record of winning
  • Excellent communicator from the shop floor to the board room, in writing, oral and aural
  • Successful history of electronic product launching products into the electronics component market
  • A successful history in customer facing roles (sales, business development, technical marketing) in the electronic component industry
  • Able to meet complex, loosely defined objectives with the minimum of supervision
  • Able to correctly analyze complex data sets
  • Willing to take decisions when the data is not available and no decision is the worst decision of all
  • Be able to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time
  • Be a US Citizen and able to get a security clearance
  • Live in, or be prepared to relocate to, the Phoenix metro area

Preferred additional qualifications and experience

  • MBA preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Masters in an engineering discipline
  • Power user of Oracle, SFDC, Microsoft Office tools
  • Previous success in other key business areas such as engineering, applications support or operations
  • Defense electronics experience
  • Systems product experience
  • Memory market and technology experience
  • Microelectronic packaging experience
  • Working knowledge of FARS and DFARS
  • Prior P&L responsibility
  • Currently hold, or have previously held a government clearance
