The Materials Scientist will understand and implement the technical aspects of laminate material and testing involved in the certification process through Underwriters Laboratory (UL) for new or revised products developed by Isola. This position will work closely with the UL engineer, R&D Director, and the Analytical Lab Manager, to dete r m i ne p r i o ri t y of ta s k s based on the project plan. They will prepare and submit material based on sample requirements and deep knowledge of the impact of the UL testing methods and how this effects the results based on construction and temperature choices. The UL Material Scientist will manage the material selection side with the UL Engineer, Corporate Engineering, and R&D, to assistant and consult as needed.
