Work Flow Specialist

00353439 Work Flow Specialist

Reporting to the Supervisor, lead the department to initiate, monitor,

assist, support, and improve all aspects of Key Metrics: safety, quality,
productivity, delivery, inventory, cost, and continuous improvement. The responsibilities
of the WFS include:

Communication

• Communicate with counterparts regarding key
metrics and departmental issues.

• Coordinate daily work assignments and hold
daily standup meetings with operators within the department to review
production metrics and issues.

• Ensure effective communication processes are
followed

• Refer all questionable work conditions to
Supervisor or other appropriate personnel.

Standard
Work

• Provide direction, instruction, training and
audit adherence to Standard Work Procedures.

• Support supervisor to provide training process
as needed.

• Coordination of Standard Work changes with
other shifts

• Address Standard Work variances to help solve
problems and concerns.

• Support built in quality audit

5S

• Maintain work areas and tools according to
Visual Management and 5S Standards.

• Responsible to ensure 5S process is followed,
continuously improve area and provide support to operators to ensure required
action items occur

Continuous
Improvement (Kaizen)

• Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by
instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act, and root cause corrective action methodology
to eliminate waste.

• Support the implementation of continuous
improvement actions (Kaizen); participate in Kaizen process and share knowledge

Rapid
Problem Solving

• Participate in root cause analysis

• Initiate escalation process

Equipment
Effectiveness:

• Drive safe operation, set-up, repair,
preventive maintenance, and the regulation of machine cycles, to meet
production metrics.

• Assist employees as necessary to maintain
required production, complete repairs, preventive maintenance and changeovers.

• Collaborate with technical personnel for
installation, repairs, adjustments and process improvements.

• Participate in TPM, SMED maintenance and
improvement

Qualifications

You Must
Have:

•High
School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

•Must be a
U.S. Citizen due to Government Contracting.

•Minimum 2
years of Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Power Point, etc.).

•Minimum of
5 years of microscopic soldering experience

•Minimum of
2 years of lean manufacturing experience.

• The WFS will mainly be working on the line,
with approximately 40% (and up to 60% during initial implementation) of time
required to support the additional responsibilities listed above

• Maintain all required records.

• Operate job function in compliance with JSA’s
(job safety analysis)

• Check safety devices and sign “Safety Device
Cards”

• Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental
rules and regulations

• Read and understand Quality Control Plan

• Follow ISO14001 and TS16949 systems

• Visually inspect parts and product for quality

• Detect and report faulty operation, defective
tools and materials to department head or designate

• Initiate action to prevent/correct
product/process non-conformity

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to gain a thorough knowledge of all department
operations and demonstrate process

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• 2-3 years in manufacturing-related processes

• Strong computer skills
