Web Production Assistant Internship (Temporary Assignment)

We are looking for an Internet Production Assistant to help us to launch a new website. This person will update and QC customer-facing elements of the site, using a combination of excel spreadsheets and the site’s Business Management tools. This is a temporary position. Hours will vary depending on the timeline of the platform launch. We anticipate that this position will be approx. 20 hours/week during July, close to full time during August and back to approx. 20 hours per week in September.

Job Responsibilities:

• Update product data, e.g. categorizing products by fabric type so that customers can easily search and filter to find the products that they are looking for.
• Test website functionality such as the checkout flow to make sure that everything works as anticipated across multiple devices. Report problems, and then re-test to once the problem has been fixed to ensure that the fix is working and that no other bugs were generated.
• Quality Control all elements of the site as they are built, including copy, product details, customer service pages, site search and many more.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ideally some experience of E-Commerce, or related college coursework.
• Attention to detail.
• A common-sense ability to see our website through the eyes of a customer.
• Basic excel skills and ability to work out how to get the most out of new tools.
• Enthusiasm for Ecommerce, strong desire to learn.
