Web Developer / SEO Intern

Description

We are a health and wellness company located in Atlanta, GA that creates natural, restorative skincare solutions for all skin types. Our company is currently seeking an intern, preferably in their junior or senior year of college, for a 3-4 week internship. This individual will play an active role in all aspects of web development.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing website maintenance, including functional changes to our eCommerce storefronts

• Search engine optimization to improve website performance

• Optimizing and promoting our original content

• Troubleshoot coding issues and bugs

• Implement new SEO policies

• Write structured, well-organized, and reusable code

• Assist with other tasks and projects related to our digital platforms as needed

Requirements

• Candidate should be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• Strong technical skills including an expertise in HTML and CSS

• At least one year of experience developing websites

• Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the site will adhere to them

• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google’s Keyword Tool and Google Analytics

• Knowledge of SEO industry trends and search engine algorithm updates

• Experience with Shopify and WordPress

• Familiarity with Adobe applications such as Photoshop is a plus (but not required)

• Strong attention to detail
