In the role of a web developer, the incumbent acts as a liaison between the design and technical components of a full life cycle implementation(s). Effectively working independently as well as with a team in an agile environment, the web developer will engage clients, be a creative problem solver, and develop, test, document and deliver assigned projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Custom application development
• Quality assurance and testing of projects
• Creating company-wide documentation for transparency between our clients, support, services, and sales engineering
• Helping architect, deliver and support development environments for custom projects
• Using Scala proprietary tools to build dynamic user experiences for digital signage

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS required
• 1-3 years of hands-on web development experience
• Front-end development as well as development operations & backend experience
• Programming skills, ideally including HTML5, CSS, JS, Python, Familiarity with API’s, Data Feeds, Webhooks and/or JS Frameworks
• Database and infrastructure skills, ideally including AWS, Azure, Windows/Linux, Node, MySQL and/or Postgres
• Development methodology understanding, ideally including Agile, Scrum, JIRA, documentation, gathering requirements and/or discovery process
• Excellent written & verbal communication, client management, and time management skills
