Web Developer

Under supervision, conduct moderately complex systems analysis and programming activities related to the development, maintenance, and/or installation of web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the Web Developer is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain moderately complex web pages using a variety of graphic software applications, techniques, and tools

• Create functional and technical design specifications and document procedures and application code.

• Prepare technical documentation.

• Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new products per production and client requirements.

• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.

Planning

• Follow work plans, established timelines, and pre-defined goals for assigned work.

• Meet commitments on deadlines.

Communication

• Communicate activities, results, and observations with employees and management as appropriate.

Cost Management

• Identify areas for improvement in existing business practices.

• Perform work thoroughly in a cost efficient manner and at a high productivity level.

Business Controls and Policies

• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.

• Report any breakdowns in controls to management.

• Conduct all activities in a safe manner.

People Management

• No people management responsibility.

Job Requirements
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience

Experience

• This full time position will be responsible for the design, development and documentation of business-critical e-commerce websites and .Net web-based systems.
• 2 or more years of experience in developing ASP.Net software applications, integration of web-enabled software products and databases in a variety of technologies, including HTML, ASP.Net 2.0 or later, VB, VB.Net, C#, Classic ASP, CSS and Microsoft SQL Server (including SSIS/SSRS/ stored procedures and triggers)

Additional experience required:

• Enhance and support existing ASP.Net web-based applications as part of a development team.
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 or later and Team Foundation Server 2010 or later.
• Strong programming background with a focus on ASP.Net/SQL development and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing.
• ASP.Net development;
• MS SQL 2012 or later
• MS Access development;
• Object Oriented Programming Principles using C# & VB.Net
• Work well with other developers and project team members.
• Manage schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks/projects.
• Work with project owners in obtaining function requirements.
• Conform to corporate SDLC project management methodology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work well with a team or individually.

Specific experience with one or more of the following is also a plus:

• E-commerce;
• Interface and controls design & development;
• MS Windows Task Scheduler;
