The Web Developer will be part of a small, high performing team building and supporting our network of sites – Tarot.com, DailyHoroscope.com, Numerology.com and Twittascope.com – across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms. This includes the development, test, and implementation of new functionalities including migration of data from our legacy systems.

Responsibilities Include:

Collaborate with the whole team, including product management, to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
Maintain and improve website
Optimize systems for maximum speed
Collaborate with other developers and web designers to improve usability
Help other developers with coding and troubleshooting
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Skills/Qualifications (Required):

Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communications and be able to work in fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated success in building meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues, customers and business partners.
Required Personal Skills for Web Developer:
Proven work experience as a Web Developer (roughly 3-5 years)
Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent experience
The Web Developer will be proficient, if not fluent, in the following:
How to interact with RESTful APIs and the front-end web technologies that communicate with them
User interface and user experience
Relational and non-relational databases
Security concerns throughout the program
Understanding customer and business needs
