Web Developer

As a Web Development Engineer in Seattle, you will be helping us build new services and systems that will redefine on the job training and development. This is an opportunity to use best-in-class web technologies, Amazon Weblabs, AWS, learn and utilize Machine Learning, and develop full-stack applications and services ground up.
Amazon U is designed to find and recommend timely, relevant content to help employees onboard and develop more quickly. Employees will find the material they need to learn new skills, solve problems, and connect with trainers and mentors. Our goal is to make it easier for people to identify learning material to help them through that process as well as finding answers to day to day problems. You will help us build the user facing components from the ground up. We are looking for highly motivated web development engineers to bring in their ideas and experience to help us reach our goals. Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience or portfolio

· Software development experience, with an emphasis on web applications

· Extraordinary people skills; ability to work closely and independently with business stakeholders as well as collaborate with teammates to identify and build solutions

· Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, javascript transpilers, and javascript build tools

· Experience with javascript frameworks and libraries such as React or Angular

· Experience with Node.js

Preferred Qualifications
· Emphasis on customer-centered usability and design

· Experience with responsive design

· Familiarity with Electron or equivalent technology

· Understanding of xAPI, cmi5, SCORM, or other learning specification

· Experience battling R.O.U.S.’s

· Hoopy frood who knows where his/her towel is
