Web Developer

The Web Developer is primarily responsible for creating and modifying computer programs by converting project requirements into code. This position confirms project requirements, encodes project requirements and confirms program operation by conducting tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
• Review software design for project(s) with senior developers and architects as needed.
• Encodes project requirements by converting requirements into computer language.
• Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
• Writes unit tests based off of the project requirements.
• Prepares acceptance criteria for testing based on project requirements.
• Demonstrates functionality as needed to product owners.
• Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
• Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Mentors junior developers through pair programming and code review.
• Follows software design patterns set by development team.
• Creates mocks of user interface to get sign off by product owner.
• Follows user interface guidelines set by team.
• Participates in daily team scrum meetings.
• Participates in sprint planning activities as needed.
• Communicate to management when projects are in danger of exceeding set time frame.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2-4 Years of programming experience required
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with ASP.NET, Javascript and C#
• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
