Web Designer/Developer

The Defense TechLink website aims to promote federal technology transfer and to market DoD inventions to industry for the purpose of converting federal research into jobs and businesses. These goals serve the technology needs of the federal government and help to generate new technology for the commercial sector. The Defense TechLink website requires ongoing maintenance support, including design and development services to continuously improve the user interface and user experience in response to user feedback, to improve integration with TechLink’s internal database of approximately 10,000 DoD patented inventions, and to allow effective execution of digital marketing campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified vendors must possess and demonstrate the following:

1. Recent experience (within the last two years) designing and developing websites for promotion and marketing of DoD inventions to industry.

2. Experience developing and maintaining websites built using WordPress which are integrated with a Django back-end framework and communicate through a REST API.

3. Experience designing and creating a user experience for managing and processing license applications for federal technologies.

4. Experience creating marketing websites optimized for search engines (using current SEO practices).

5. The protection of confidential business and government information is vital to the interests and the success of the TechLink Center. As such, if awarded, contractor will be required to acknowledge their obligation to protect confidential business and government information by signing the Confidentiality/Status form found in the contract. TechLink will maintain signed confidentiality agreements on file.

6. To be eligible for this work, contractors must be U.S. citizens.

7. There may be some on-site work in Bozeman, MT.
