Web Designer I

The Web Designer I is responsible for the image, layout and features of the company’s website portfolio. Once a website is created, a Web Designer I helps with maintenance and additions to the website.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work with development teams or managers for keeping the site up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other tasks
• Understand graphic design and computer programming
• Design and edit web content
• Design responsive website solutions with an emphasis on UI and conversion
• Determine technical requirements
• Meet with stakeholders
• Update and maintain websites which includes multiple code solutions such as HTML, JavaScript, etc.
• Work within our existing database infrastructure
• Create back up files

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Web/Graphic Design, or related field
• One to two years of experience with proven SEO (search engine optimization) results
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Fundamentals of design imaging
• Proven web design ability
• Content management including experience with DNN, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.
• Editing for video and audio
• Multimedia design, programming and technology
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• A working knowledge of HTML, image and video editing tools in support of content development, preferred
