Web Application Engineer

With more than 260 locations nationwide, FleetPride is a leading provider of heavy duty truck and trailer parts. FleetPride seeks a Web Application Engineer to administer and develop web applications for the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining multiple websites, ability to manage multiple projects, and exposure to a variety of industries.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Plan for web application development and presence, including standards and guidelines for content, based on business goals and input from stakeholders. Interacting with business end users and departments to gather requirements for development of products and services.
• Coordinate with systems experts on hardware and software issues that affect the applications and their availability.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and third party application development vendors.
• Architect and develop web applications as well as make modifications to existing applications.
• Respond to and complete Help Desk Tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Administer technical elements of 3rd party web solutions for the company (such as Salesforce.com, remedyforce.com)
• Expected ratio is 50 % development / 50% Administration of existing applications including business and technical applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years of application development and support experience required
• Experience maintaining multiple websites
• Strong software systems design skills and familiarity with the current industry best practices.
• Extensive experience with web technologies, specifically .NET, C# and JavaScript tools such as AngularJS.
• Experience with Java and Web-services
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, frameworks, solutions, and tools including Visual Studio.
• Experience with Salesforce.com development and administration is a plus
• Knowledge of the following languages and software: HTML, SQL, XML, PHP, JavaScript, web development software (Dreamweaver) and the Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Energetic, team player and proactive problem solver with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a flexible, fast changing environment.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
