Web Application Developer/ExpressionEngine

Job Summary

• Develop and maintain websites running WordPress including installing & tweaking 3rd party plugins, developing custom themes and updating post types.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain legacy websites running the ExpressionEngine 3 CMS to include changes to channels, outputting content and creating templates.

• Working closely with a UX designer, content strategist and the rest of the development team to code designs for HTML, WordPress or ExpressionEngine.

Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in professional web development

• Intermediate to advanced experience with ExpressionEngine 3 or later

• Intermediate to advanced experience with WordPress custom themes and theme development

• Exceptional front-end development skills – HTML 5/CSS 3/JavaScript (jQuery & AJAX)

• Basic PHP knowledge, understanding and development skills (outside of WordPress)

• Creation of clean, logical, well documented and reusable code

• Understanding of responsive/mobile-first development

• Experience with version control (Git)

• Experience with Bootstrap 3 or later
