Web Application Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

Learning.com is looking for a talented Web Application Developer to join its fast-paced, award-winning software development team. The Web Application Developer will participate in all aspects of software development as a member of an Agile web development team, including software design, estimation, development, functional testing, release, escalated support and other tasks as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to an Agile software development team, developing new features and maintaining existing code
  • Communicate status on assigned tasks, and work queue through daily standup meetings
  • Write clean, efficient, high quality code
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Manage system issues and bugs using standard software issue management systems (JIRA) and version control tools (primarily git)
  • Help develop interactive user facing features
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of, and help provide estimations for, UI/UX designs
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual Contributor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of work experience building interactive/dynamic web applications, including some UI/UX work
  • Associate degree is preferred, equivalent additional work experience in lieu of education is acceptable
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong JavaScript development skills
  • Proficiency with one or more front end JavaScript frameworks, such as AngularJS or React (Angular2 preferred)
  • Understanding of HTTP APIs
  • Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
  • Agile/scrum experience, a working knowledge of C#, and/or a background in the education field would all be considered a plus
