Web Application Developer

Job Summary: Assist in the development, expansion, testing and deployment of the next generation, service-oriented simulation architecture for the U.S. Army. Develop and deploy services associated with this architecture, including the development of simulation software, scenario generation tools, monitoring and data collection software. Responsibilities include software design, development and testing in an integrated simulation environment using industry standard source code control and tracking tools.

Essential Job Functions:
· Work through full-cycle development that including requirements analysis, software design, software development and testing.
· Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts.
· Understand and adhere to project schedules and stays within established budgets.

Required Skills:
· 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on object-oriented design and web services.
· Full stack Java development experience including both frontend development and backend services.
· Web application development experience including, but not limited to: JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, Google Material Design.
· Experience using unit test frameworks, including JUnit
· Experience with both Linux and Windows operating system environments, including scripting in both environments.
Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered beneficial:

· Familiarity/experience working within the Atlassian tools.

· F amiliarity with industry software development standards and with the capabilities of related Department of Defense software systems

· Exp erience in the adaptation, modification, and use of OneSAF simulation (or a comparable military entity-level simulation system)

· P referred experience with MSDL and OBS formats and common DoD M&S data exchange and file formats.

· M ilitary behavior modeling

· Agil e development

· Database design and managem ent in NoSQL and SQL databases, including MongoDB, PostGreSQL and MS SQL Server

Required Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
· Minimum 5+ years software engineering experience.

Other Requirement s: Position requires U. S. Citizenship status with a SECRET level security clearance.
