Warehouse Associate (All Shifts) - Athens, GA

Description

As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes

Perform material handling and warehousing functions as required

Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies.

Operating automated packaging equipment, paint line operation, shipping and receiving.

Perform line checker functions

The Building Construction Products (BCP) Division is a global division of Caterpillar Inc. that employs several thousand employees located at facilities worldwide. Basic Qualifications:

At least 6 months logistics/warehouse experience is required

Must have logistics Mach 1/Warehouse Management experience

Must have intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/experience. Capable of functioning independently.) in logistics Mach 1/Warehouse Management experience

Must have intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/experience. Capable of functioning independently.) in SAP

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes

Infrequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds

Work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor

Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

Walk, squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes

Top Candidates will also have:

Experience with operation of mobile equipment including sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift and materials tugger

Heavy equipment product line experience (i.e. excavators, tractors, etc.)

Additional Information: Resumes are encouraged for all applicants. We have openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift with an entry wage of $14.00/hour. There is an additional 5% night shift premium for working 2nd or 3rd shift. This position is located in Athens, GA. No relocation benefits are available.
