Role Overview

The Vulnerability
Senior Engineering position is part of a team who delivers world class
compliance and security-focused solutions to SecureWorks Vulnerability
Management customers. The Engineer will work with the Vulnerability Management
Engineering Team to act as point of contact regarding technical issues, and
will work closely with the team to drive issues to resolution. This individual
should be knowledgeable of vulnerability management tools and processes, and
demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with clients.
Positions are on a shift schedule and the shift can vary depending on staffing
needs.

Role Responsibilities

-Manages projects
and sees they are carried out through to completion

-Develops innovative
and creative ways to carry out strategic business and team objectives

-Mentors other team
members to provide thought leadership and guidance

-Manages vendor
relationships for day to day operations

-Create and deliver
presentations to the team as well as other internal teams

-Demonstrate strong
technical analytical skills while providing accurate analysis of security
related problems. Incumbents have a well-rounded security background, are
client focused and work to resolve all client needs in a timely manner.

-Providing
Vulnerability Assessment Scanning and guidance to over 350 customers worldwide
using the QualysGuard Vulnerability Management suite

-Providing PCI ASV
Scanning, False Positive Validation, and Attestation Signing

-Providing
Compliance Scanning and policy creation using the QualysGuard Policy Compliance
Suite

-Providing Web
Application Scanning using the Qualys WAS Suite

-Review scan
findings with clients and provide technical and business recommendations for
addressing vulnerabilities.

-Work closely with
Product Management, Development, and QA to identify client and SOC product and
support needs, assist in defining product delivery schedules, developing
high-level product definitions, writing functional requirements, translating
the requirements into interface design, and navigating the functional
requirements through to launch

-Investigate and
document ways to provided added value for our current service offerings

As a managed
security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply
commonly known security practices as well as possess a working knowledge of
applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to
acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access
to Company’s systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working
knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

-6+ years of
experience in a technical security support role

-5+ years
Linux/Unix, Windows, and network infrastructure administration

-Experience with
Vulnerability management platforms such as QualysGuard, nCircle IP360, Rapid 7.

-Experience with
network and application security testing tools and scripting languages –
Nessus, Nmap, Paros, Perl, Python

-Ability to manage
multiple individual and group projects from conception to delivery

-Ability to interact
with members of cross-functional team, reach consensus, and show results

-Excellent verbal
and written communication skills

-Strong technical,
analytical, and interpersonal skills

-Motivate and
inspire team members

-Facilitate problem
solving and collaboration

Bachelor in Computer
Science or another relevant technical field
