VP of Operations / Executive Director

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina has an exciting opportunity available as the next VP Operations/ Executive Director of the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree and at least 7 years experience as a YMCA Multi-Team/ Branch Leader or other non-profit leader, or related experience. Additionally, significant experience in membership, program development and community relationship building is preferred.

Essential Functions
The William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA has a rich history and is one of the flagship branches of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina. The branch has a $3.9 million dollar operating budget, an Annual Giving campaign goal of $375,000, and operates in a 110,000 square foot facility. The branch has a large membership base and programs are driven by aquatics, group exercise programs and wellness initiatives. The branch is a full facility Y with a wellness center, gym, group exercise and mind/body rooms, functional fitness area, indoor pool, and youth and teen fitness areas. The Association’s TYDE swim team, Youth and Government program, and Adventure Guides program are run out of the branch, and there is a teaching kitchen operated in partnership with one of the local hospitals. Association Sports and Summer Day Camp operate out of this branch. Two express wellness facilities- Wells Fargo Express and Innovation Quarter YMCA- are included in branch operations. The position serves as Executive Director of the branch as well as a Vice President with responsibility for one or more additional branches. The Board of Management is dedicated and committed to the success of the YMCA.

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is a financially strong organization with a $35.6 million operating budget. As a Living Our Cause Trendsetter YMCA, our Y is a leader within the movement and has15 branches, 3 express facilities and a resident camp that serves Winston-Salem and nine counties in the Piedmont Triad area of beautiful North Carolina. The Y is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with convenient access to the mountains and the shore. Recreation, education, and quality of life opportunities are outstanding.

Salary $85,000.00 – $110,000.00
