Platform Engineer Location: Rocklin, CA

Duration: 6 -12 months + extensions

We need candidate who has worked in a large enterprise level environments (multiple DC’s, large VMWare farm, Cloud), with strong troubleshooting skills, and strong on Platform (Windows/Unix), VMware, Exchange, Backups.

Essential skills

Minimum 5 years’ previous experience in IT engineering; financial industry experience preferred

Proven experience in design, development, and implementation of IT application, infrastructure, and applications

Expertise in Microsoft Exchange support, DNS, A/D, monitoring, VMWare and Azure

Expertise in virtualization and cloud technologies such as VMWare, MS Hyper-V, Xen, Citrix, Azure, AWS

Strong technical, quantitative & analytical problem solving skills with well round skills across system, storage, and network

Strong foundation in IT applications and development methodology (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, post-implementation support)

Experience gathering and documenting business requirements

Familiarity with ITIL and release management concepts

Experience in managing enterprise wide Microsoft server environments

Experience with enterprise server and datacenter technologies

Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Data Networks, Virtualization, Web servers and storage technologies

Experience with recovery methodologies and technologies.

Knowledge of HP ProLiant Servers and Blade Servers
