Video Editor (Full Time)

*****This is not a work-from-home or mobile position. We are looking for a Utah resident who is able to commute to our downtown Salt Lake office on a daily basis. No applicants outside a 100-mile radius from Salt Lake City, please.*****

VIDEO EDITOR

The Video Editor reports directly to the Post-Production Supervisor and will have the following responsibilities and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work full-time on editing course videos in Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
• Assist in preparation of project files and fulfill responsibilities of an assistant editor.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and new practices.
• Communicate with the Post-Production Supervisor to make sure schedule is on track.
• Be willing and able to assist on set as a production assistant if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree from an accredited college or university in digital media production, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
• Working knowledge of Mac/iOS platform is required.
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Premiere CC is required.
• Working knowledge of standard post-production audio mixing techniques is highly valued.
• Basic competency in other Adobe CC software including Photoshop, AfterEffects, Media Encoder, and Audition, is preferred.
• Working knowledge of file formats, file compression and conversion techniques, and video composition principles and techniques such as framing, lighting, layering, and keying.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• A passion for music and technology, and a belief in the mission of the company.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Scriptwriting and storyboarding capabilities are a plus.
• Experience in music performance, composition, education, or working with music educators, is highly valued.
• Additional experience as a videographer, graphic designer, writer, audio technician, or other media-related position, is highly valued.
