Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services

The Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services is the Chief Financial Officer of the college and serves as an effective advisor to the President, the College Board, the Educational Foundation, and various college committees with regard to financial, administrative and legal matters. The Vice President will provide the sound financial management and fiscal planning necessary to maintain the financial viability of the college and ensure the growth and sustainability of our learning community. The Vice President provides leadership to the following functional areas: accounts payable, cashiering, budgeting, procurement, information technology services, Police/security, and facilities. Additionally, the Vice President will provide leadership for long range strategic planning and capital projects; the development, interpretation and communication of college system policies regarding finance, accounting, budgeting, systems and auditing. This is an administrative faculty ranked position.

This is an administrative faculty position. Salary is commensurate with rank and credentials. Appointment date: July 1, 2017.

Minimum Salary: $104,426/ DOE . Full state benefits apply.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree from a regionally accredited university in an appropriate field. The ability to demonstrate excellent managerial skills in finance and administrative services. Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills. The ability to successfully manage and develop staff, work collaboratively with diverse groups and to think creatively and proactively. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding and commitment to the mission and philosophy of a public and comprehensive community college.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education, particularly in a community college. Five to seven years of directly related experience with a progressive increase in responsibilities.
