Validation Engineer

As a Validation Engineer in Micron’s Advanced Controller Group you will be responsible for the validation of leading-edge FPGA and ASIC controller designs. The Validation Engineer will work with the controller design engineers and lab engineers to develop and implement a hardware validation environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy hands on work in a very dynamic setting that consists of electrical and software engineering so an ability to learn new methods and skills is a must. The Validation engineer will be responsible for the validation of the controller at the system level.

Successful candidate for this position will have knowledge and experience with the following:

• Validation lab and Hardware setup
• PC hardware and its role in system functionality
• C/C++ or Java programming language
• Python Scripting
• Embedded firmware
• Linux and Windows based OS
• I2C, JTAG, SPI Bus
• OS Driver writing/debug/knowledge
• HW design experience
• Verilog language
• Xilinx or Altera FPGA’s
• RTL simulation
• Lab experience
• Data collection and reporting of results
• Bus Analyzers, Oscilloscope, precision jitter/skew measurements etc.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design peers in verbal and written form

Education and Work Experience:

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• BS/MS in Computer Science with HW experience
