Vada-Engineering Support Technician

Job Descriptions:
Engineering Test Technician will work under the direction provided by Engineering/Production Support Lead/Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for Product technical support, detailed problem determination, and problem resolution of issues encountered and reported by production.

Provide on-site production support often on short notice.

Under the direction of Lead, co-ordinate Engineering Product Releases, Product Debug, RMA activities and provide status in a timely manner.

Review Acceptance Test Procedures and train production technician on the proper use of these procedures and tools. Integrate new product procedures to automated Test JIGs if applicable.

Install and upgrade Test JIGs and tool sets at engineering and production. Monitor and maintain the lock down configuration of this installer and test equipment and provide status to Production Support Lead.

Develop test scripts for automation.

Obtain product knowledge and debugging techniques required to support and train production engineers.

Developing strong relationships with Production and Engineering teams.

Required Experience:
Diploma in EE or CS, or appropriate levels of industry experience.

Experience working in a Linux environment is a plus.

Experience in C/C++, Python is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including written documents, email, presentations and interactive training sessions.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to think creatively to create unique debugging approaches to resolve production issues.

Highly motivated self-starter.
