UX Designer/Front End Architect

Coffmatech is hiring an UX Designer/Application Architect, Level 2/Computer Scientist/Front End Architect.

The Front End Architect shall provide the Government front end technical support across the software development lifecycle including architecture, design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment support. The Front End Architect shall represent the front end perspective, socializing requirements and constraints, in technical discussions with the Government and other contractors. This includes representing front end concerns related to the platform; the development environment; development, test, and deployment processes; and governance. The Front End Architect must be available to coordinate with Government representatives on a daily basis if required.

The Front End Architect must have credentials that substantiate that he or she has:

• Educational attainment that is appropriate for managing the type of work described in the PWS, both in size and scope.
• Strong ability in multiple Front End technologies.
• Mature technical leadership experience including successful leadership of technical teams in projects of similar size and scope as the one identified in this Performance Work Statement (PWS).
• Demonstrated experience across an agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), including assessing, managing, and mitigating risks across the SDLC.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to coordinate technical activities with Government and contractor personnel
• Sufficient experience to be conversant in and have a working knowledge of each of the business and technical objectives of the PWS. The Front End Architect’s experience must demonstrate that he or she can understand all aspects of the work, with the ability to provide expert technical guidance that supports business objectives.
• Any required and appropriate security or suitability clearances.

The ideal candidate:

• Will code software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers
• Will utilize quality assurance procedure for software
• Will test and develop fixes
• Must be available to coordinate with Government representatives on a daily basis if required
• Must be able to communicate clearly (read, write, speak, and understand English.)
• Must have credentials that substantiate that he or she has:
• Educational attainment of bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience or 5 years of experience without education or certificate
• Experience coding software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers
• Experience in applying agile principles in reality and be knowledgeable about many agile/Scrum concepts, approaches and techniques.
• Experience standardizing the quality assurance procedure for software
• Overseen testing and developing fixes
• Created and modified computer application software or specialized utility programs

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
• Document all programming tasks and procedures
• Perform routine software maintenance

Qualifications:

• The architect and alternate(s) must be able to communicate clearly (read, write, speak, and understand English.)
• Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
• Experience in JQery, AngularJS, Ajax JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, HTML, Eclipse, Intellij, Spring Tool Suite
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
