USPS-IT Developer/Engineer V, No Clearance|Tier I

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the role of Availability and Capacity Management Technical Consultant. This person will be responsible for the following activities:

” Responsible for extracting, consolidating and evaluating information contained within a variety of management systems/tools and reporting data warehouses to develop and administer the facilities, compute, storage and networking Availability and Capacity Management Plan for an environment to ensure that the capacity and availability the business applications and infrastructure technology environment matches the evolving demands of business needs in a cost-effective and timely manner.

” Responsible for creating and presenting the monthly performance, capacity, and availability reports to all internal Delivery and external stakeholders

” Responsible for identifying and working with the appropriate team members to resolve missing data or data discrepancies.

” Responsible for developing and maintaining the short-, medium- and long-term forecasts for service utilization and performance within an environment.

” Owns and manages knowledge sharing within a community (e.g. team, practice, or project). Ensures team members support knowledge sharing and re-use requirements of project.

” Proactively encourages membership and contributions of others to professional community and coaches others in area of expertise.

” 3+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, 3 additional years of relevant professional experience (6+ years in total).

” Working knowledge of Client tools (Client Service Manager, Client Asset Manager, Client Reporter, Client Operations Bridge Reporter, Client Operations Manager I and/or Client OneView)

” 2+ years of experience consolidating and consolidating information from multiple tools, systems or platforms into a single database or data warehouse in support of a common reporting solution

” 2+ years of experience developing and presenting performance, availability and capacity related forecasts based on current utilization trends and new business demand

” 2+ years of experience using, building, configuring & designing Reporting solutions utilizing 1 or more of the following applications or technologies:

eBI, Informatica 9.5, SAP – Business Objects, Oracle DB, Client Vertica, CRDW, Qlikview

IBM Datastage, IBM-Teradata, MS SSRS, Cognos, Crystal Reports

MS Access

Any other equivalent ETL, DB, Reporting tools

Certifications Desired:
” ITIL V3 Foundation

” DB Developer-specific certifications

” BI product specific certifications

” Vendor or Industry accreditations

The Candidate Bill Rate submitted to this Job Posting should not exceed $60.00/hour.
