Description

Configures and installs information systems (including hardware and software) that have been purchased. Advises the project/support team during negotiations on complex technical aspects of information systems and products to ensure accurate information. Performs cost-benefit assessments and provides technical advice on vendor negotiations. Collaborates with the project/support team to estimate costs and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing information systems products to meet business needs. Configures and installs the hardware and software components of systems that have been purchased to meet business requirements and integrate with their existing systems. Prepares moderately complex flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions. May prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance and development of the system. Reviews work of less experienced team members. Coaches and mentors less experienced systems engineers. Applies an understanding of key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents. Works under moderate supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
• Experience participating in IT projects.
• Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience.
• Banking or financial services experience.
