Systems Admin/SAN Support Analyst

Location: Remote (Milwaukee, Detroit or Cincinnati preferred)

What you will do in this role:

In this role, you will be an important addition to the Affinity team working for our Fortune 500 client as a Systems Admin/SAN Support Analyst. You will troubleshoot and resolve OS Unix/ Linux issues, with cross over to Storage technologies. This will entail providing day-to-day support activities including documentation using enterprise tools. This may include SAN requests, modifications, provisioning, and administration. This is an opportunity to expand your personal knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of technology. Your ability to add enthusiasm to the team will play an important part in our hiring decision.

Requirements:
Unix/Linux Admin with interest in learning SAN/NAS OR a storage admin with 2+ years storage experience with UNIX/LINUX background

Familiarity with Storage environments: NetApp (7-mode and/or C-dot); Hitachi SAN, EMC SAN (VMAX).

Attention to detail is a must

Ability to script in bash or perl (Python is a plus)

Experience preparing output according to a process and procedure doc

Experience with Provisioning/Allocation (LUN)

Experience in Unix (Solaris), Windows, VMWare, and Linuix Operating Systems.

Experience in building, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading: Solaris, Windows, HPUX, Linux OS

Provide Advanced Storage Knowledge and Skills: Symmetrix/DMX, Clariion, HDS, direct attached devices, internal storage.

EMC tools

Understanding of RAID concepts and implementation

Advanced experience of volume management using the command line.
