Position: UNIX AIX Administrator

Location: Purchase, NY

Duties:Install, configure, and support network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Build, configure, and install system server using AIX operating system, LPAR, VIO, and HMC. Provide steady server support, including disaster recovery and server build projects. Administer server transformation from agency legacy datacenters into consolidated datacenters. Review server security lockdown and participate in server patching and OS upgrades, as needed. Telecommuting is permissible.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus two (2) years of experience building, configuring, and installing system server using AIX operating system, LPAR, VIO, and HMC.
