Subject: Full-Time Web Designer/Developer

The Web Designer/Developer’s mission is to create best of class web and mobile interactive content and experiences for the Driver’s Alert Learning Management product suite. This will require strong design skills and experience in web development as well. The development of the web/mobile properties will require vision while communicating, collaborating, and working with cross functional teams.

The Web Designer/Developer operates under general supervision of the Director of LMS Courses, and performs duties with broad latitude for judgment. Tasks assigned require an in-depth and broader understanding of current web design standards, UI design, problem identification, analysis and resolution.

Reports to: The DeerField Beach, FL Office

PRIMARY DUTIES :

The primary duties of the Web Designer/Developer include being accountable and responsible for:

• Design and development of new web/mobile properties
• Maintenance of existing and new web/mobile properties
• Requirements gathering and documentation

SKILLS :

The skills needed to make the Web Designer/Developer successful include:

• College degree or equivalent experience with specific course work in analytics and software development
• A strong understanding of UI and website design both from a technical, functional, and aesthetic standpoint, to include responsiveness
• An understanding of user navigation best practices
• Exceptional problem solving skills
• Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation with great attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work within a collaborative environment that includes other developers, customer support, and sales team members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

REQUIREMENTS:

In-depth knowledge and experience with the following:

• Adobe Creative Suite
• HTML 5
• CSS3
• Javascript
• jQuery
• React/Redux/Node.js

Experience with any or all the following is a plus:

• ExpressionEngine/CodeIgniter
• Video editing
• Web animation (other than Flash)
• CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS, etc)
• git
