UI Developer

We are currently searching for an experienced User Interface (UI) Developer with strong front-end development skills to join our Creative Services team. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for developing standards compliant interfaces, with a focus on performance, user interaction, and usability.

WHAT YOU NEED:
3+ years’ experience working with creative and technical teams

Advanced level HTML/CSS (HTML5 and CSS3)

Experience with JavaScript and jQuery, including JSON and AJAX

Experience with SVN, Git, or other version control systems

Ability to write reusable code for UI components

Experience developing enterprise web applications and websites

Experience building and testing responsive layouts

Proficient with cross-browser issues and testing

Passion for crafting user interfaces and evangelizing the benefits of standards based coding

The ability to take complex software problems and turn them into simple, functional interfaces

Knowledge of user-centered design methods

Attention to detail, driving for pixel perfect layouts

Committed to great user experience

Experience developing in an Agile Scrum environment

Experience with content management systems (Word Press, Drupal)

Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and ability to keep up with emerging web technologies

Strong work ethic and organizational skills

Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Work with a cross functional team (Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, Database Developers) to create and build next generation internal web applications

Work with a variety of clients to create customer facing web applications

Write code that works in modern browsers while degrading gracefully for older ones

Identify and address front end performance bottlenecks

Champion best practices for UI development

Take high fidelity wireframes and prototypes and turn them into functioning, standards compliant user interfaces that display consistently across device and browser types

Oversee front-end markup, visual consistency and adherence to direction from Creative Services Manager, Product Owners, and Director of Marketing

Provide HTML/CSS/JS support to members of other development teams

Perform well under tight deadlines with multiple projects
