Truxedo – Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The accounting manager is responsible for managing the accounting department under the direction of the Corporate Controller and the local GM.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage accounting/finance processes, perform analyses and prepare reviews; ensure policy/regulatory compliance.

Analyze operational and financial data, investigate variances to monthly forecast and profit plan, identify business drivers and evaluate its impact on planned objectives. Prepare meaningful variance analysis commentary for management.

Perform the monthly financial close for the business and provide high quality, timely and accurate information to plant management.

Meet reporting deadlines for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings – ensuring accuracy & timeliness of financial results supporting the Actual vs. Budget.

Ensure compliance with financial policies, US GAAP, local statutory regulations, and internal controls.

Manage & improve financial controls & processes while mitigating issues.

Assist in preparation of business reviews/presentations to senior management.

Perform specialized analyses to support complex decisions.

Provide metrics/reports to demonstrate effective process controls, manage multiple projects and process improvements.

Provide monthly inventory & costing reports.

Review and analyze monthly manufacturing costs and recommend improvements to reduce plant overhead.

Define root causes to inventory variances and work with operations to make necessary corrections.

Support manufacturing operations financial analysis and reporting by reviewing all aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, sales trend analysis, validating cost savings, absorption trends, etc.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics from an accredited institution.

Min. 5 years of accounting experience required.

Working knowledge of visual accounting system preferred. CMA/CPA/MBA a plus.

Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Manager/supervisor experience preferred.

Manufacturing experience preferred.
