Trasportation / Valet Manager

The Transportation Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the department. This includes supervising the Valet Runners, Ramp Controllers, and Drivers. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to, preparing work schedules, handling employee and/or guest complaints/requests, and supervising staff performance daily. The primary areas of concentration include, but are not limited to, the main Resort entrance, main Gaming (Bingo) entrance, all valet parking areas, and our fleet of vehicles. Responsible for the maximization of revenue and consistently high levels of guest satisfaction in Miccosukee Resort and Gaming.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintains a highly organized department ensuring on time pick-up and delivery via shuttle or limousine to the required destination.

  • Organizes shuttle and limousine requests, confirming all information is correct for billing and service purposes.

*

  • Strong working knowledge of Miami-Dade, Broward, and its surrounding counties to assist drivers with directions.

  • Computer savvy to be able assist with the GPS/directions and airline flight departure and arrival information.

  • Ensure a high standard of service is implemented by all staff, ensuring all guests are very pleased during their time at the property.

  • Accurately fill out requisition forms to maintain sufficient inventory levels to properly serve the guests, as well as keep the necessary tools supplied for the staff.

  • Stay abreast of company vehicles and their maintenance requirements, along with being vigilant for damage.
  • Review, maintain and offer suggestions for the amendment of procedures enabling the department to maximize productivity and profitability.

  • Responsible for the schedule and payroll of the parking and driving staff, minimizing costly overtime yet meeting demand of high volume days.

  • Ensure all training is carried out and training records updated. New employees are tested on knowledge to completing the training program. Carry out orientation to the department for all new hires.
  • Carry out re-training and corrective training when necessary. Responsible for the overall accuracy of employee performances. Identifying common errors resulting in loss of revenue or lapse in service.

  • Responsible to assist in employee job performance reviews.

  • Have daily communication meetings with staff giving guidance as to activity, VIPs and special events. Inform guests of the rates and availability for airport shuttle drivers ensuring smooth, efficient a day to day operation.

  • Pre plan next day by reviewing arrival and special service report and ensuring proper staffing levels.

  • Assist with production of month end reports and is knowledgeable in analyzing reports and identifying levels.

  • Ensure communication for front desk, marketing and bingo to inform of all developments and guest feedback.

  • Ensure employees meet uniform, timekeeping and service requirement.

  • Ensure all guest request, complaints are properly dealt with correctly and immediately and documented.

  • Oversee proper collection, maintenance and safekeeping of guest records.

  • Coordinate the complete preparation of VIP and group arrivals according to established policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate transportation for all special events with Resort & Gaming departments including front desk, marketing & bingo etc.

  • Work with preset budgetary limits.

  • Comply with all policies relating to the Resort & Gaming operation.

  • Comply with all systems and procedures as established by the Front Desk and Bingo. Qualifications Minimum three years’ experience in a similar or related field position, Computer literate, Guest service experience preferred.
