Training Project Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a highly reliable, scalable, and low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. The North American AWS Training & Certification team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Training Project Manager to create, lead, manage, and deliver internal AWS Training Delivery projects in a rapidly evolving and expanding landscape for global delivery.

In this North American focused role, with direction from AWS Training Delivery Management and with your passion for project management, you will plan project resources, assemble and lead project teams, manage team and project timelines, manage project issues and risks, monitor project progress, manage project budget and funding and report and document project tracking, timelines and results. You will work closely with AWS Technical Training Delivery leadership to help deliver compelling and relevant projects that support the AWS platform, our delivery team and help meet our objectives. In this role, it is expected that you will have the ability to influence and convince others and to discuss and reach agreement on complex delivery projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Evaluate and assess result of project

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent
5 + Years experience as a project manager
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Business & IT strategy experience
Proficiency in project management software tools

Critical thinking and problem solving
Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
Conflict resolution experience
Adaptability
Hands on tactical execution and deliverable ownership

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in certification or training project or program management
Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Business & IT strategy experience

Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
