Traffic/ITS Engineering Intern

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated college student to join their Traffic / ITS transportation group in the Atlanta – Midtown office as a summer intern with the intent of extending a full-time offer after graduation. This position will focus primarily on assisting with planning, analysis, and design of Georgia based transportation projects. Projects are delivered using procedures typical to the Georgia Department of Transportation and local government agencies and municipalities.

Responsibilities may include:
+ Multimodal transportation planning

+ Crash data analysis

+ Safety improvement studies

+ Traffic modeling and engineering

+ Preparation of traffic diagrams

+ Intersection control evaluation

+ Traffic signal timing and operations

+ Design of intersection and roadway geometrics

+ Other related planning and engineering tasks

Minimum Requirements

+ Anticipated Bachelor’s degree in related field

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

+ Anticipated Master’s degree in related field
