Tooling Engineer

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong
tooling program/process for assembly operations for heavy wind turbine
equipment. The daily tasks will include designing and developing new tooling
and fixtures for production operations. A background in Mechanical Engineering
will be used to make decisions on tooling needs that address safety and
efficiency goals for the operation.

Responsibilities:

• Support the
  facility tooling program

• Make decisions
  for tooling needs for operations

• Use project
  management skills to work closely with internal maintenance team to
  fabricate tooling.

• Design new
  tools and fixtures using CAD

• Perform Finite
  Element Analysis of critical load bearing tools

• Use machine
  design principles to develop new tooling concepts.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• 5 years experience preferred

• CAD design

• 10% travel required (international)

• Good working knowledge of metal welding and
  fabrication processes

Preferred skills and experience:

• CAD design
  using Inventor

• ANSYS FEA
  software

• Project
  management skills

• Supervisory
  Skills
