Test Automation Developer

Responsible for creating automated tests on computer applications to isolate and solve issues, initiates tests, analyzes results, and document and report anomalies and issues. To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The developer does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test scripts in Ranorex.
• Develop software testing framework in C# using .Net
• Extend existing applications to enhance automated testing ability.
• Record, analyze, document and compare to expected results and distribute statistical information.
• Detect and report software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
• Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.

Required Skills:

• Experience with .NET framework
• C# or similar languages such as Java.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong Organizational and planning skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Clear communicator (written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of the team
• Comfortable using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office and Word.

Not Required but a plus:

• Experience with multithreading and observer model design patterns.
• Automated testing software experience (Ranorex, Sikuli, etc.)
• Some knowledge of C++ and MFC would be helpful
