About the Job:

The Territory Sales Manager maintains a regular travel schedule within the defined territory promoting Salice America, Inc., to woodworking shops, cabinet & furniture manufacturers and wholesale distributors. The focus would be on providing continued support to an existing territory with an established customer base and distribution network as well as developing new customer bases in the Distribution and OEM area’s. The candidate should reside in, or in close proximity to Connecticut and cover the New England territory. The territories offer growth potential beyond the market share. Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule frequent visits to current and prospective customers to evaluate customer needs, conduct product demonstrations and solicit orders.
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities and relationships and open new OEM accounts.
  • Effectively implement new product launches in the territory.
  • Provide technical, sales, and marketing support to the distributor.
  • Train distributor personnel on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Maintain timely detailed records of territory activity using a cloud based CRM program.
  • Engage with industry organizations at the local level.
  • Communicate market conditions and competitive information to management regularly.
  • Represent the company at national trade shows and industry events.
  • Attend periodic national sales meetings at the corporate office.

Additional Criteria:

  • A minimum of two to five years of successful field sales experience is required.
  • Experience in hardware is preferred but will consider candidates with transferrable skills and background.
  • A Bachelors degree is preferred but will consider an Associates degree with exceptional field sales experience.
  • Exhibit solid teaching and sales skills, along with strong technical aptitude.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills, including word, Excel and cloud computing.
  • Accurately maintain an expense account that includes monthly reporting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction and relationship building.
  • Possess a willingness to work within the framework of a sales team dedicated to achieving the goals of strategic growth.
