Temporary Data Center Technician – DCSD04

Responsibilities:
Work tickets that have been assigned to our Remedy queue. Such as racking and un-racking servers, running fiber cables per cabling standards, and assistance in trouble shooting issues.

Install and remove Hosts/Servers/Network/Storages per process in place.

Manage Fibre / network cables from servers to switches to storages via patch panels.

Moving equipment between labs and from one rack to another.

Troubleshooting network and system issues. Requirements:
Enterprise Data Center Experience.

Experience with the following:
HP, Dell, IBM, Lenovo, Oracle, Cisco rack / blade servers

Cisco network switches

Brocade and Cisco FC switches

NetAPP, 3par, EMC, Dell storage

Solid IT Troubleshooting.

Familiarity with servers – Virtual, blade and physical.

Familiarity with network principles.

OS installation experience – Windows, Linux, ESX.

Familiarity with network analyzers.

Managing a large server farm using Fibre Channel and Ethernet backbone. Other Skills:

Must have effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.

Has an inherent sense of urgency and accountability.

Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
