Job Title: Technology Development Process Control Engineer – FD

Description:

As a Process Control Engineer at Micron, you will be a member of the Research and Development PCS team responsible for developing and driving process control solutions for Micron. In this position, you will collaborate with process areas to identify methods of analyzing and monitoring tool and process conditions with SPC. You will also collaborate with global teams to align process control solutions and share BKM’s. You will work with area-level representatives to understand tool configuration and characteristics of the process. You will then identify best method to develop specific models to improve variation detection capabilities and for efficiency improvements. In addition to the development of logic for automated control systems, you will also be responsible for the monitoring and continuous improvement of process control solutions. You will work with peers in R2R and Statistical Process control to identify and deliver innovative solutions to current technology development control needs.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control

• Strong analytical problem-solving and data analysis skills

• The ability to learn new process control tools quickly and work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience developing, teaching, and presenting technical subjects

• Experience in Process Control Systems (PCS) subjects is a plus; Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), Run-to-Run Control (R2R), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Scheduling or Sampling, Process Metrology, and Interfacing with semiconductor process equipment

• Effective organizational and decision-making abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills

• Ability to balance multiple critical priorities simultaneously

• A high level of commitment with a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done

• Programming and scripting experience a plus (e.g. JMP scripting, RegEx, SQL, PERL, xml structure, C++, or VB experience)

• The ability to travel (may be required at times)

• General knowledge of semiconductor processes and tools

Education:

A BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, or an equivalent Micron job standing of Engineer or higher is required.
