Technical Support Specialist

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing team. The role is a full time Level 1 Technical support position which will require occasional weekend / evening work depending upon client needs. Compensation based on experience and offers a benefits package plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional technical support via phone, email, remote, and onsite.
  • Travel to client locations to troubleshoot hardware/software/networking issues.
  • Own clients issues from beginning to completion.
  • Manage tickets via online Help Desk
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Rebuild/upgrade/repair all components related to Servers, PC’s and Mac’s
  • Evaluate the client’s existing systems and make recommendations for upgrades, improvements
  • Be proactive vs. reactive
  • Design, support, maintain, and install local area networks
  • Application integration and support (desktop, server, and network based)

Technical Requirements which includes working knowledge and hands on experience with:

  • Windows servers, desktops and laptops
  • Windows Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Google Apps / G Suite, Small Business Servers
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1 and 10
  • Apple servers, desktops and laptops
  • Mac OS X & OS X Server
  • Mac & PC command line tools
  • Security software for virus protection, spyware, malware, and spam
  • Supporting mobile devices
  • Networking equipment (routers, firewalls, L2/L3 switches, VPN)

Certification(s):

  • Windows Certifications a plus but not required
  • Prefer a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or at least 3 + years work experience in a technology consulting and support role

  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills (work with clients and team members in a professional and courteous manner)
  • Must be personable and have a great attitude under all circumstances
  • Must be able to work independently at times with minimal supervision
  • Superb client relationship skills
  • Ability to take initiative and manage your time effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to learn and support new technologies quickly
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours occasionally

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • Help Desk: 3 years
  • hands on desktop / laptop support: 2 years
  • Office 365: 1 year
