Technical Program Manager

NVIDIA is looking for a creative and experienced software Program Manager to join its Infrastructure, Planning and Process (IPP) team. This team provides build and test infrastructure, as well as release planning and process improvements for all of NVIDIA’s software organization. The IPP team enables NVIDIA to ship world-class software. In this role you will drive execution of IPP’s software development, and drive software process improvement for several software teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Be an effective Leader in the overall end-to-end software development and delivery of products.

  • Develop and manage program schedules, milestones and deliverables, for several software teams inside of IPP.

  • Work with those software teams to execute in an agile/scrum manner.

  • Work with multiple software teams inside the whole NVIDIA software organization to understand their requirements and asks, and

  • translate those requirements into specific tasks and proactively capture, track and drive all issues to closure.

  • Correctly represent the urgency of issues and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Drive the day-to-day operational aspects of delivering software releases to customers.

  • Assist in improving process and procedures within the team.

  • Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to management.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years recent Program/Project Management experience driving the planning and execution of software engineering projects, and releasing commercial products.

  • Deep expertise in Agile and Scrum methodology

  • 3+ years previous experience as a software developer or software QA engineer. You have lived the life of a software developer or software QA engineer, and understand the pressures they are under, allowing you to more effectively lead them in projects as well as process.

  • You have a consistent track record of leading and successfully delivering medium to large organizational wide programs and projects, process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and drive adoption of new and improved process workflows in medium to large organizations

  • Experience in successfully leading global projects across time zones

  • BS/MS Computer Science

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience setting up and leading scrum teams in medium to large size software organizations.
  • Expertise with Jira and/or Jama, to the point that you can comfortable teach an engineering team how to use these tools and execute in an agile/scrum manner
  • Practical experiences with scaling Agile is a plus
  • You have previously identified missing or inefficient processes, improved and implemented them across different teams across large matrix organizations.
  • PMP certification, Stanford PM Certification, UC Berkeley/Santa Cruz PM Certification, CSM, etc
